New Pediatric Dental Office Opens in Oceanside

The California Third Grade Smile Survey highlights significant oral health disparities in the region, revealing that nearly one in five third graders (20%) suffer from untreated tooth decay—a preventable condition that can lead to pain, infection, missed school days, and long-term health complications. Additionally, the survey found that only 30% of these children have received dental sealants, a simple yet effective measure to reduce cavities. These statistics underscore the urgent need for improved access to pediatric dental care and preventive services in San Diego, ensuring that more children receive the critical dental care they need for a healthy future.
