Lightship Appoints Darcy Forman as Chief Operating Officer to Accelerate Expansion and Operational Excellence

Lightship, a leading provider of community-based, decentralized clinical trial services, is appointing Darcy Forman as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this key role, Forman will further enhance Lightship’s ability to deliver representative clinical trials at scale, driving operational excellence, and expanding the company’s capacity to handle more complex, decentralized trial solutions in communities across the nation.

Forman joins Lightship with over 25 years of distinguished experience in clinical research, blending deep expertise in clinical operations with a strategic approach to corporate development. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about innovation in clinical trials, particularly decentralized models that increase patient accessibility and engagement. Forman’s extensive background in both operations and strategic leadership will be critical to strengthening Lightship’s ability to deliver on its mission and grow to serve evolving client needs.

Forman’s most recent role was as an executive consultant where she worked with a variety of companies across the clinical research spectrum to address strategic needs. Prior to that, she served as the Chief Delivery Officer at Science 37, where she oversaw clinical operations service delivery, including patient engagement, clinical operations, data management, and nursing solutions. She has also held leadership positions at well-regarded CROs, including i3 Research (now Syneos Health), Health Decisions, Clinipace, and Firma Clinical. Forman began her career as a bench scientist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals before transitioning into Pfizer’s clinical research division, where she gained valuable experience in clinical operations and project management.
