The delegation of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, led by the Deputy Chairman Rafael Gevorgyan, participated in the fifth meeting of the Subcommittee on Customs Issues under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union in Brussels.According to the press service of the SRC, the meeting covered legislative reforms in customs sphere, as well as the achievements and upcoming steps for digitalizing customs operations by both parties.
The implementation of EU-funded customs infrastructure development programs in the Republic of Armenia was discussed, emphasizing the importance of expanding EU support.The potential for developing customs expertise in Armenia using EU technical instruments was also a topic of discussion.
Additionally, progress in protecting intellectual property rights, combating smuggling, and advancing administrative mutual assistance in customs were also presented.At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed confidence in further expanding effective customs cooperation in the near future.
