Pierz man faces drug charges following traffic stop

LITTLE FALLS--A 51-year-old Pierz man was charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop Wednesday in Little Falls.

LITTLE FALLS-A 51-year-old Pierz man was charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop Wednesday in Little Falls.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reports a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a white Cadillac Escalade at 4:26 p.m., after observing a traffic violation.

During the course of the traffic stop, the driver was identified as Michael Stumpf and the deputy performed a search of the vehicle and located and seized 3 grams of suspected cocaine, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen stated in the news release that the deputy used his training and experience in drug interdiction and as a result, illegal drugs were taken off the streets of Morrison County.
