'He was fascinated': Noel Gallagher 'clutches bag of marijuana as he chats with teens about their use of vaporisers backstage at concert'

He once confessed to having taken cocaine in a 10 Downing Street toilet specially reserved for the Queen when he attended a reception for Tony Blair in 1997.

And Noel Gallagher reportedly got a glimpse of his old wild ways when he held a bag of marijuana as he chatted with some teens backstage at a concert put on by the Gorillaz, whose Humanz Tour hit London's O2 Arena on Monday and Tuesday.

According to The Sun, the 50-year-old rocker - who joined Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn onstage on Monday - was secretly filmed by the teens, who then posted the footage on Instagram, adding the caption: '[Noel] chavved my weed.'

The newspaper reports that while the former Oasis star requested a vaporiser, he was seen smoking anything during his time at the sold-out concert.

A source said of the father-of-three: 'Noel was just really chilled out with a group of kids who were the same age as his daughter. He wasn’t acting cool or anything and was just happy to chat about the music.

'When one of them produced a bag of what appeared to be weed and a vaporiser, he was fascinated in the way they were all smoking. Noel took a real interest in the device and was asking a lot of questions about how it all worked.'

When contacted by MailOnline, a spokesperson for Noel declined to comment.

Noel has been vocal about his old wild days over the years, famously telling Russell Brand on his radio show in 2008 that he took cocaine in a Downing Street lavatory set aside for the ruling monarch when he visited the Prime Minister's residence.

The star, who said that he gave up drugs the following year, recalled of the restroom: 'As I remember, it was quite nice. It had a velvet seat and everything.'

He added: 'She's got her own toilet which no-one else is allowed in. These were the days of the revolution. Someone said, "Do you want to have a look in the Queen's bog?" I said, "Of course."'

He also told Spin that year that he wrote much of Oasis' music under the influence of cocaine, saying: 'Before 1997, I hadn't written a song without the aid of the old Colombian marching gear. Don't forget, I was on drugs before I was even in a band.

'The whole of the first three albums were written on drugs. I remember being off my nut and going into the back room and setting the goal of writing a song in 10 minutes - that was Supersonic...

'All those albums and all the B-sides were written on drugs. That's why they're so good. And that p***es me off. I think, "Maybe I should get back into taking drugs, and then it would be brilliant again." But that thought lasts less than a second.'

Meanwhile, his estranged brother Liam recently admitted that he drives around London with cannabis stashed in his car.

Speaking in a video created by Vice and HBO, the Manchester native confessed he keeps marijuana in his vehicle, and does worry that he may be 'f***ing pulled over' and arrested by the police.

However, the 45-year-old went on to admit that despite the risk of being caught, he likes how the drug makes his car 'smell nice'.

According to the Daily Star, the Mancunian accidentally let slip in the video he carries weed in his vehicle - and that he is aware he could be arrested and prosecuted for the act.

He said: 'I've been carrying his weed around in London for a bit because we've got the same driver and that in London. But if we get f***ing pulled over by the Dibble, I get caught with ganja!'

Seemingly not bothered by the risk the drug poses however, he then added: 'But the car smells nice, so that's good.'

However, the rocker's comments come not long after he admitted the drug was a 'stupid' idea, and he would rather his children did not use it.

He admitted of his kids in June: 'Well, when it comes to drugs, I haven't got a leg to stand on, but I'd prefer it if they didn't do anything. Weed's all right, but even that's f***ing stupid.'

Liam has openly admitted to smoking cannabis over the years with his brother Noel, during the height of their Oasis fame.

It was even reported in a tell-all novel written by a Qantas flight attendant in 2015, that the pair had tried to pay the staff £1,000 in exchange for letting them smoke on board a flight to Bangkok, back in 2005.

The brothers have been estranged since 2009, enduring a number of rows during their time in Oasis before the band finally split that year.
