POLICE REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 463-6205.
CAMPING: An officer spoke with a person behaving suspiciously in the 300 block of West Henry Street at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday and cited the person for camping.
CAMPERS: An officer spoke with people behaving suspiciously in the Alex R. Thomas Jr. Plaza at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday and issued three citations for camping, and arrested a Ukiah man for violating his probation.
BURGLARY: Caller in the 1300 block of South State Street reported a burglary at 8:18 a.m. Tuesday. An officer responded and took a report.
SMOKING POT: Caller at McDonald’s on North Orchard Avenue reported at 9:36 a.m. Tuesday that two people were smoking marijuana on a patio and refusing to leave. An officer responded but the people were gone.
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department regarding calls handled by the Fort Bragg Police Department.
MAN MAKING WEIRD NOISES: Caller at Safeway on South Main Street reported at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday that a man sitting at the deli tables was “leaning and making weird noises.” An officer responded and cited an Oregon man for trespassing. He was cited and released.
PEOPLE DUMPING FURNITURE: Caller on South Street reported at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday that people were dumping furniture. An officer responded and reported that the people live there and were unloading furniture into their home.
MAN THROWING STYROFOAM: Caller on the Noyo Bridge reported at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday that a man was throwing large pieces of Styrofoam into the harbor. An officer did not find him.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
