Sobriety checkpoint nets multiple arrests

BRUNSWICK -- State Police report several arrests made during a sobriety check in Brunswick Saturday night.

Bethanie Wark, 25, of Troy, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, after a Drug Recognition Expert confirmed her drug impairment. Wark was also charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree (cocaine), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Degree (Alprazolam, the Schedule IV depressant known as "Xanax"), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (Amphetamine/dextroamphetamine, the Schedule II stimulant known as "Adderall") and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. She was arraigned in the Brunswick Town Court and was jailed in lieu of $2,000 bail.

Jacklynn Evans, 22, of Wynantskill, was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. She tested at a .18% blood alcohol concentration. Evans was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after being found with a glass smoking pipe, containing the drug. She is scneduled to appear in the Brunswick Town Court on Oct. 4.

Clifton Houle, 47, of Troy was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. He tested at a .18% blood alcohol concentration. Houle is scheduled to appear in the North Greenbush Town Court on Oct. 3.

Christian Ozack, 31, of North Greenbush, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He tested at a .11% blood alcohol concentration. Ozack is scheduled to appear in the Brunswick Town Court on Oct. 4.

Mark Ring, Sr., 27, of Troy, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after being found with a plastic baggie of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe, containing the drug. Ring is scheduled to appear in the Brunswick Town Court on Sept. 27.

Kyle Beauregard, 38, of Troy, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, after being found with two plastic baggies containing marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in the Brunswick Town Court on Oct. 4.

Troopers reported they saw several designated drivers and several people using taxi cabs to get home safely after drinking alcoholic beverages.
