The University of Wisconsin women’s basketball’s first Spanish-born player is remaining in the United States after entering the transfer portal.
Ana Guillen, a Badalona, Spain native, announced Sunday on Instagram she signed with Yale.
Guillen was the final of five former Badgers players to announce their transfer destinations this offseason. It was the second in five days afterImbie Jones announced she was transferring to Nevada on Wednesday.

Guillen appeared in 22 games, averaging 1.1 points in 5.4 minutes per game. The 6-foot forward logged 10 or more minutes in four of her first six appearances, including a season-high 13 in the Badgers’ 74-52 win over Western Illinois on Nov. 9, 2023.
Her minutes greatly diminished over the course of the season however, as she played more than five games just three times after logging 11 minutes in Wisconsin’s 82-72 win over Boston College in the third-place game of the Fort Myers Tip-off on Nov. 25, 2023.
Yale finished last season 8-19, including 5-9 in Ivy League play, under second-year coach Dalila Eshe and missed the Ivy League Tournament.
Wisconsin still has an assistant coach opening after Tiffany Morton was named coach at West Alabama on April 27.
